{COAT -- IDOL BOARD POWDER SNOW} 11: How to Choose the Best Coat for Your Snowboarding Style

Developed in partnership with retailer Backcountry, Whitespace (as you probably could have guessed) is a snowboard gear and apparel company. As a young athlete, seeing idols like Tony Hawk and Tom Sims create Birdhouse and Sims, White always dreamed about having his own namesake brand.

White also said there will also be opportunities down the road to sponsor a new generation of professional snowboarders. It would be a way for him to pay his own sponsorships forward, and bring his career full circle.

As per tradition here at SnowboardingProfiles.com I will give the T Rice Pro a score out of 100 (based on several factors) and see how it compares with other aggressive all-mountain-freestyle snowboards.

Based on specs, the T Rice pro doesn't have a lot going for it when in the powder as it is a centered and a true twin board. It does have some rocker between the feet which helps though. While I am sure it will still handle smaller amounts of powder when needed, it's not going to be ideal for deeper powder days.

If you want to check out some other aggressive all-mountain-freestyle snowboard options, or if you want to compare how the T Rice Pro compares to other aggressive all-mountain-freestyle snowboards, then check out the next link.

Nate is passionate about and loves learning new things everyday about snowboarding, particularly the technical aspects of snowboarding gear. That, and becoming a better rider and just enjoying and getting the most out of life.

Salomon snowboards are sized by their length in centimeters. When choosing a size, consider your height, weight, and the type of snowboard youre getting. Freestyle options, for example, tend to be on the shorter side, while all-mountain and powder styles tend to be longer. Beginner riders are generally advised to choose shorter Salomon snowboards because it will give them more control. Some typical sizes you might see are listed below.

It might be hard for a guy this tall to make snowboarding look easy but Mikkel is doing his best and he does it with style. From early podiums at major events like the Air and Style, Mikkel vaulted straight into film and photo shoots scoring some sick magazine covers and video parts.

What projects are in the pipeline this upcoming?Wandering Workshops Backcountry AdventuresLast year, I launched a Community Interest Company called Wandering Workshops so I could run backcountry splitboard workshops with the aim of making them as accessible as possible. I work with my photographer friend Hannah Bailey from @neonstash, and together, we take people on backcountry adventures where we help them to capture the experience and group narrative through words and photography so they can find a shared meaning and connection in the experience. The workshops sit in the adventure and mindfulness space and are as much about connection to self, others, and environment as they are about taking on backcountry lines and adventures. They are amazing to run, and we have a whole bunch coming up this season. I have my backcountry guide qualification so am the on-snow leader with Hannah supporting on the photography and storytelling side. We are a good team and really look forward to each workshop. We also aim to be able to offer free or reduced-price places on each workshop to help breakdown the financial barrier that a lot of people face when they want to get into backcountry touring. If you want to know more about Wandering Workshops check out our website

How and when did you first meet Gigi? Tell us a funny storyBack during a winter without too much fresh snow, I was looking for an aggressive board and a shop (Backside) in Verbier gave me a Slash ATV.

What projects are in the pipeline this upcoming winter?During the winter season this year, I plan to take videos and photos of my snowboarding activity and share it to SNS. Hopefully anyone that sees my videos can get excited too!

Burton founder Jake Burton Carpenter passed away peacefully on November 20, 2019 as a result of complications from recurring cancer. He was our founder, the soul of snowboarding, the one who gave us the sport we all love so much.

I taught Katie Couric (the Today Show host) how to snowboard on national TV during the Olympics in Salt Lake City. And I was there to watch Burton riders Ross Powers & Kelly Clark win gold in the halfpipe events at the Olympics.

Left the U.S. for a 10-month trip with my family to follow winter around the world and really dive into our business in the Southern Hemi, Asia and all over Europe. First stop was Quito, Ecuador. We snowboarded and surfed on six continents and had one of the best years of our lives.

During the last leg of my 10-month trip, I attended the Arctic Challenge snowboard event in Tromso Norway. We all then took a 6 hour ferry ride to the Lofoten islands. There, I surfed with Terje in the morning, then hiked up a mountain and snowboarded down that same afternoon in Stamsund, Norway. It was the first time I surfed and snowboarded on the same day.

Close friend and Burton rider Mark McMorris had a near fatal snowboarding accident in the Canadian backcountry. I visited him that week. Mark visited me several times while I was in the hospital with Miller Fisher.

John Lacy, Burton Co-CEO, sent this email to Burton employees: "It is with a very heavy heart that I share the news that Jake passed away peacefully last night surrounded by his family and loved ones as a result of complications from recurring cancer. He was our founder, the soul of snowboarding, the one who gave us the sport we all love so much. 2ff7e9595c
